Koiki Eddie Mabo Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Cybec Foundation in 2001, in memory of Koiki Eddie Mabo. The scholarship is used for the purpose of assisting any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, who are studying in the Faculty of Health and Medicine at the University of Newcastle. The scholarship is administered by the University of Newcastle and payable as annual instalments of $5000 for a period of up to five (5) years, subject to annual review of the scholar's academic progress.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, a student must identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be recognised as such by their community. They must also be enrolled full-time in any year of any undergraduate program within the Faculty of Health.
